Any Resemblance to Reality is Purely Coincidental is an exhibition held at Space Studios in Hackney in 2023, in partnership with the Royal Drawing School in London and the Christopher Isherwood Foundation. The show emerged from Sa’ad’s six-month intensive drawing residency at the Royal Drawing School, where observational drawing was the primary focus. The exhibition specifically explores the form of the triptych and its potential for subversion, challenging traditional perceptions and interpretations of this classical format.
